Sustainability

Sustainability is one of my top priorities in running my small business. I carefully select suppliers who also prioritise social and environmental responsibility in their practices.

The I cement used is from manufactures who take a ‘whole life’ approach, addressing not only the extraction, manufacture and transport of products but also consider their sustainable performance in use and opportunities for reuse and recycling at end of life. They use management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across their operations to continuously improve social, economic and environmental performance. certificated to BES 6001, the framework standard for Responsible Sourcing and the Achilles Building Confidence scheme.

In addition to sourcing materials with a focus on sustainability, I collect household cement waste (leftover from DIY projects) from friends and local communities for upcycling. I repurpose this waste into my Blessing Cat creations, helping to reduce waste from household projects.

Furthermore, all my printing and packaging are made with eco-friendly materials. These materials are either recycled, recyclable, reusable, or compostable, in line with European Standard EN 13432.

For printing, I collaborate with a company that is committed to minimizing its environmental impact and respecting the natural world. They are on track to become Carbon Neutral by 2040, following a 1.5ºC decarbonization pathway, surpassing the targets set in the 2015 Paris Agreement. Their paper is sourced from responsibly managed forests, and their proprietary technology reduces waste while maximizing the use of recycled paper.
