In Japan, koi (carp) symbolise courage and perseverance, inspired by their strength to swim upstream.

In Hong Kong, fish also represent abundance, as the word “fish” (魚) shares the same pronunciation as “surplus” (餘) in Cantonese. It carries the heartfelt wish of always having more than enough and a little extra for the future.

Each Blessing Meow holds a yellow coin, where you can:
(1) Choose your own blessing word — we will handwrite it for you, making it truly yours, or
(2) Leave it blank — as in traditional Maneki-Neko, the coin symbolising general wealth and good fortune :)

Inspired by Japanese Maneki-Neko (Lucky Cat), “Blessing Meow” is my original creation since 2020 — born as a heartfelt father-daughter project — blending my dad’s 50+ years of construction craftsmanship and my own love and creativity for Japan and its blessings culture. 

Each Blessing Meow is handcrafted using concrete-building techniques and hand-painted with meaningful characters. Every Blessing Meow is truly one of a kind and made with 100% love — ready to bring blessings and love to you and your beloved ones. Our meow raised paw symbolises “inviting” while the coin represents a specific kind of “luck,” meaning your Blessing Meow brings that chosen blessing into your life.

 (Some people also believe that a right paw brings wealth and a left paw brings good relationships!)

• Concrete is fragile — please handle with care.
• Blessing words are handwritten, not printed, so no two characters are identical,  e.g. size and shape.
• Each piece is hand-painted; making it truly one-of-a-kind. Please avoid wash/rub the colour. Discolouration may occurs over time.
• Concrete may release slight dust, especially from the base — a natural quality of the material.
• Please keep away from direct sunlight.
